After many years of chiropractor care out of state, I know it can be difficult to find a new chiropractor who takes time to listen to your health concerns, has the ability to perform adjustments effectively, and who patiently teaches helpful stretches to do at home between appointments. Dr. Josh offers quality, professional chiropractic care. The staff members are helpful and friendly. This chiropractic center is clean, tidy, and offers an motivating atmosphere for encouraging positive change. Thank you Dr. Josh and staff.
I've been to multiple chiropractors around the valley. With now eight herniated discs, I was on the search for a doctor that could assist me in avoiding back surgery for the forth time, and I found it here with Dr. Josh! He and his team have a very holistic all-around approach to rehabilitation that does not compare to what I've seen. Strengthening, adjusting, and correcting seem to be his mission and it's working! What I really think makes them stand out from the rest is his out of the office approach to your rehabilitation. He provides you exercises that you could be doing while you're not there to assist speeding up your recovery, which is brilliant! Why not utilize all the time you have to help streamline your process to recovery! His evolving and strategically more difficult physical therapy complement his expertise in chiropractic care, and I couldn't recommend anybody more!
I walked into the office today in agony. Dr Josh did a detailed exam on me and after x-raying my hips we found that my left hip was a half inch lower than my right hip. I have gone to other chiropractors in the past and always complained that I felt out of alignment in my hips and no one ever went into this much examining of my body to find the real problem. Dr Josh fitted me with a lift and taught me some great exercises to do at home and I walked out pain free! Dr Josh you ROCK! Oh and your staff is amazing also! Greeted with lots of smiles and warmth! Thankful to have you in my life!
One of the things I like most about Dr. Josh and his staff is that they listen to you. They want to know why you are there and what you want to accomplish. It is not "just about fixing your problem(s) of the moment" but helping you feel healthy and able to do the things you want to do. In my case, I walked in as an injured runner. Thanks to the diagnostics that was done, we developed a plan to help get things "back where they belonged" and strengthen the muscles that needed attention (these have changed over time). Because of the focus to both short term and long term goals, I just finished running a marathon (ran a personal best) the week after running a 100K trail run.I am looking forward to even greater adventures as I now have more confidence in my body than I have had in a long time. I know that Dr. Josh and his team will make sure that body are ready for those adventures.
I went from having consistent knee pain and not being able to run at all, to completing the Pat Tillman 4.2 mile race this year! After injuring my knees multiple times about 10 years ago, I had accepted that I would never be a runner, or able to work out the way I used to. When Dr. Josh took x-rays and told me he could help me feel better in 6 weeks, I couldn't wait to get started. He began with basic physical therapy rehab and gradually increased my in-office workouts until I was doing squats and leg raises with no trouble at all! He also ordered knee braces for me and those have allowed me to continue to work out on my own. I can't thank Dr. Josh & the rest of the office staff enough, and have recommended this office to my family and friends.
Growing up, I always saw my father in pain. I always wished there was something I could do to help. He herniated 2 discs in his low back when he was a football player in his early 20’s. When he went to our family doctor he was given pain pills and muscle relaxers and told to rest. Over the next 20 years every time he went back to the doctor he was given another pill for something new.
By the time I was born, he was on 17 different medications, weighed over 400 pounds and the discs in his low back had worn down to bone on bone. When we went to see the spine surgeon he told us that my father was too large, on too many medications and too much of a liability to operate on. I’ve never seen someone so sad, thinking that he was going to have to live the rest of his life in this kind of pain.
We had heard about gastric bypass surgery and considered it. If he could lose the weight, maybe reduce the medications, in turn he could get the surgery. After the surgery, my father’s gallbladder got infected and he ended passing away from a staph infection. He died December 17th 2007 at the age of 58.
I made a promise to myself and to my late father that I would do everything in my power to make sure that no one has to go down the same path as he did. We created Arizona Medical and Sports Rehab to give the valley a look at what medicine can be. Where patients don’t fall through the cracks or get tugged in a million different directions. I wanted to create a place where doctors work together for the good of the patient. I wanted a practice where doctors from different fields unite forces to fix the root of health issues and educate patients on true preventative healthcare. I’m lucky to have an amazing team that shares this vision and we’re excited to be a part of the Tempe community!
Healthcare is a team effort! Our team is ready, are you?
